Shove Stuff Instructions

Overview

Shove Stuff is all touch screen controlled. Holding your finger down on a block picks it up, taking your finger off the block drops it. While holding down you can slide the block around to place it where you want, or pick up speed to throw it at your opponent.

The game arena is divided in 2 halves. You are at the bottom of the screen. You can only grab and use blocks on your side. If you drag one across the boundary it releases. Drag one quickly across the boundary and you'll throw it. Pull back to pick up speed first, and you can really make things fly. Don't forget, the faster a block is moving, the more damage it does!

Along the screen top sits the goals' health, game clock, and menu button. Usually you win by reducing the opponent's health to 0, but not always.

Multiplayer mode is also supported over wireless networks!. You and a friend simply need to select a Multiplayer LAN game, choose a level, and go!

Blocks

The blocks are the tools of the trade in Shove Stuff. They are your best friends and worst enemies. Each one starts to die once picked up, so watch out when they're bright red and about to break. Different ones do different stuff, so here is a quick primer:

  • Normal Block is nice and basic. Throw it away or stack for defence.
  • Wall Block is too heavy to throw, but it can really take a beating.
  • Magnet Block starts pulling everything towards it once activated.
  • Shatter Block explodes on contact into 4 little blocklets.
  • Wedge Block looks like an axe, and it really cuts through the stuff.
  • Fan Block is like the Magnet, except it pushes everything away.
  • Bomb Block doesn't just die on timeout, it explodes for big damage!
  • Shield Block reflects away anything that strikes it on the front side.
  • Health Block looks like a little goal, and gives you some needed goal health.
  • Bonus Blocks give you 3 free blocks when you need 'em most.
  • Statter Star is a wicked item that destroys everything on the screen. Ouch.

Game Types

Shove stuff currently has 10 game types with plenty of extras on the way! The more you play, the more you unlock. Some are pretty different, so here is a peek at what's in store:

  • 1 vs 1 is pretty self explanatory. Beat the opponent.
  • 1 vs 2 steps it up a notch. Can you take on 2?
  • Bombs Away is a explosive matchup.
  • Back To Basics keeps it really simple.
  • Survivor is about staying alive long enough.
  • Offensive is all attack, all the time.
  • Reflector makes you really use those shields.
  • Most Damage only gives you so much time to cause just that.
  • Do Your Worst requires you punish the opponent quickly.
  • Shatter Storm might better be called spammer storm.
